Sarah... a beautiful bride

I first met Sarah a year ago when she asked me to do a wedding makeup trial for her in Cairns.

It’s fair to say Sarah really wasn’t sure about getting a professional to do her makeup for her wedding because as a former dancer she’s had years of practice doing her own makeup.

But we did the trial and both the bride-to-be and her bridesmaid had a change of heart.

I’m so glad they did because last weekend I got to be part of Sarah’s special day, doing the makeup for her three bridesmaids, her aunt and the beautiful bride herself.

I’ve just seen the photos from the wedding day and I am in absolute awe of the talent of Cairns photographer Matthew Evans.

Words can’t even describe the beauty he has captured in these images so I’ll let them speak for themselves…enjoy!

Television Commercial

Last month I was booked as Head Makeup Artist for a television commercial being filmed in Cairns.

We started work at midday, prepping the actors and getting them ready for the shoot.

Several hours spent filming under the bright lights called for a few touch-ups and then we did a quick face change to make our lovely lead actress look a little tired and drawn.  

I'm normally the first to channel surf during the ads but I can't wait to see the final result once this advertisement hits television screens!

Wedding Makeup Cairns - Melissa and Ben

Oak Beach, between Cairns and Port Douglas in Far North Queensland is a stunning destination and that's where Ben and Melissa got ready for their tropical wedding.

In a beautiful timber beach house, with the waves crashing out the front, we got to work on the wedding makeup and hair for the couple's guests and family before turning our attention to our beautiful bride.
