Television Commercial

Last month I was booked as Head Makeup Artist for a television commercial being filmed in Cairns.

We started work at midday, prepping the actors and getting them ready for the shoot.

Several hours spent filming under the bright lights called for a few touch-ups and then we did a quick face change to make our lovely lead actress look a little tired and drawn.  

I'm normally the first to channel surf during the ads but I can't wait to see the final result once this advertisement hits television screens!

Wedding Makeup Cairns - Melissa and Ben

Carissa and James

Carissa and James were married at Rydges Esplanade Resort in Cairns.

During Carissa's makeup trial we went for a very natural bridal look with a real focus on the eyes. On the day of her wedding though Carissa had a change of heart and decided she wanted a bold look. She chose a black and silver smokey eye and blood red lips. To ensure the colour didn't bleed I applied foundation to Carissa's lips then lined them before applying the lipstick.

Melinda and Trevor were married at Mission Beach south of Cairns.

I loved sharing Melinda's special day with her and I had so much fun doing the wedding makeup for Melinda, her mum, the bridesmaids, the cutest little flower girl and the entire bridal party.

It was a very relaxed morning and I think the wedding makeup photos have come up a treat!

Port Douglas Wedding Makeup - Samantha & Michael

I first met Samantha when I did her hair and makeup trial in Cairns a month before her wedding.

In the relaxed comfort of Samantha's home we created a beautiful bridal look with soft curls, natural false eyelashes and shimmering eye shadows which really made her blue eyes pop. I used a combination of products from MAC, Napoleon Perdis, Makeup Store and Arbonne.
