Originally from Cairns, Adam and Carly decided to get married in his home town.

We met the couple a few months before the big day to do a trial with Carly for her hair and makeup.

She chose to use the occasion for their engagement shoot which meant they got amazing photos!

On the wedding day we traveled to Thala Beach Lodge near Port Douglas to do hair and makeup for Carly and her mum as they took in the stunning coastal views from their resort room.

Having already had a trial Carly knew exactly what she wanted and what to expect in terms of preparation time and the hair and makeup process.

Catseye Productions in Port Douglas captured the couple’s big day as they tied the knot in Port Douglas and then celebrated with family and friends at the Sugar Wharf on the waterfront.

Dani says I Do at Palm Cove - Wedded bliss!

Dani met her fiance in Australia…which might not seem that odd but for the fact she’s American and was Down Under on a working holiday when they met.

As love blossomed, what was meant to be a year of working and traveling in Oz soon saw Dani settling in Sydney and planning her wedding!

During her travels Dani had worked in Far North Queensland and decided she wanted a tropical Cairns wedding so she chose Sea Temple Resort Palm Cove for her big day.

We traveled to Dani’s resort room and spent the morning doing hair and makeup for her bridesmaids and her amazing mum – who is a five time marathon runner – before turning our attention to the bride.

Benn from Blue Sky Photography joined us as we were adding the finishing touches to Dani’s hair and makeup. He has captured some beautiful photos for the couple to show friends and family back home.

Celebrity Wedding Darius Boyd at The Elandra Mission Beach

Who doesn’t love a celebrity wedding at The Elandra Mission Beach!

The five star establishment is only available for private hire which was perfect for football star Darius Boyd and his bride Kayla.

The couple tied the knot in front of family and friends during a very private ceremony in this perfect piece of tropical paradise.

Finesse Makeup and Hair traveled to Mission Beach to provide hair and makeup for Kayla and her bridal party in her luxury room at The Elandra Mission Beach.

Kara's Tropical Cairns Wedding

Kara and Alex chose a tropical Cairns wedding for their big day which meant tropical Cairns wedding makeup and hair! Soft curls, contoured cheeks, glossy lips and beautiful eyes.

They were married at the Cairns Courthouse so you might wonder why Kara booked Finesse Makeup and Hair to come to her hotel room to professionally style her hair and makeup.

There’s a simple answer!

This couple knew they wanted to capture some beautiful memories of their special day so they booked makeup and hair then an afternoon photoshoot with the incredibly talented and oh so easy to work with Tammy from Tamara Kate Photography.

Not only did they get some stunning images – see below – the images were ready for a sneak peak within just two days!

After spending a few hours at the Botanical Gardens and having fun as the sun set over a stunning Far North Queensland canefield – the couple then spent the night celebrating with family and friends at Rydges Resort in the city.

This meant Kara’s makeup and hair needed to look fresh for 12 hours – no problem!

Because of the tropical North Queensland climate, we use professional, water-proof foundations which are designed to resist humidity, tears and perspiration. Combined with the best quality products from MAC, Makeup Store and Napoleon Perdis, Kara’s makeup went the distance.

When styling hair we use a combination of hot rollers, straightening irons, serums, waxes, sprays and volumisers which ensured Kara’s beautiful curls lasted all day and night.

While our brides might not be locals, we are, so we know which products work in a tropical climate.

Candice and Ed tie the knot at Palm Cove in Cairns

Originally from Australia but now living in the UK, physical education teacher Candice brought her beau Ed 16,500 kilometres to the sandy shores of Palm Cove Beach, just north of Cairns, to tell him she wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

We met the couple a few days before the wedding to do a hair and makeup trial for Candice so that we could work out the type of look she was after and we all just clicked.

Having had the pre-wedding catch-up, the day itself went like clockwork as we provided makeup and hair at the Sea Temple Resort for Candice’s mum, her sister, Ed’s mum and then finally our beautiful bride.

Tracey from Azure Photography arrived just as we were leaving and Candice was slipping into her dress so we didn’t get a chance to fully appreciate the final result but the photos below are outstanding!

Kristin's Kewarra Beach Cairns Wedding

We had a very relaxed morning with Kirsten and her bridesmaids doing their tropical wedding makeup and hair in the peaceful surrounds of the Kewarra Beach Resort just north of Cairns.

Originally from the Cassowary Coast, Kirsten no longer lives in the region so hers was a destination wedding but there was one familiar face – local photographer Matthew Evans. It turns out the Whites and Evans’ went to school together so there was a semi-reunion on the wedding day!

Liz and Charles say I Do at Palm Cove Beach Cairns

Liz was super organised when it came to her tropical destination wedding at Palm Cove and she knew she wanted to book a Cairns mobile hair and makeup artist for her big day.

Almost 12 months before her wedding day Liz sent us an email to book a hair and makeup trial while she was visiting Cairns with her Maid of Honour.

From the moment we met, we knew Liz’s wedding day was going to be loads of fun and the big day didn’t disappoint!

The makeup and hair trial put everyone at ease and gave us time to perfect the look Liz wanted for her special day.

We are a two person beauty team consisting of a makeup artist and a hair stylist and we traveled to Liz’s hotel resort room at Sea Temple Palm Cove on her wedding day so that she could relax in comfort and style while we pampered her and the entire bridal party.

With six makeup and five hair to do it was a productive morning full of fun, laughs and the most amazing home made red velvet sponge cake with jam and cream!
